Required Profile Fields


In order to have an approved profile on Nonprofit Compass, there are some key required fields that you need to complete.

Please note, after you register your organization for Nonprofit Compass, the Foundation team will set your profile to "Pending." Once your profile is set to "Pending," then you may start completing the fields listed below for your organization's profile.

Overview:

  • Mission Statement
  • Organizational Overview (describe your organization’s history)
  • Website
  • Facebook (if available)
  • Instagram (if available)
  • Counties Served

Programs and Results (up to three programs can be listed/described; only 1 program is required):

  • Program Title
  • Program Summary (short sentence summarizing program)
  • Example of Program’s Success (narrative explaining how success is measured and/or sharing a client anecdote, etc.)

Wish List (up to three wish list items can be listed/described; section is not required):

  • Description (short summary describing your organization’s specific need. Consider offering a description around tangible items needed and/or offering wish list items at different price points)
  • Amount (amount of donation required to meet this specific need)

Management:

  • CEO Name
  • Staff Information
  • Estimated Number of Yearly Volunteers
  • Number of Full-Time Staff
  • Number of Part-Time Staff
  • Board Information
  • Number of board members currently serving
  • Number of times full board meets each year
  • Length of board terms

Financials:

  • Federal Tax ID (EIN)
  • Does your organization have a fiscal sponsorship or fiscal agent through another tax-exempt entity?
  • Annual Budget Total
  • Year Organization was Founded
  • Does your organization file an IRS form 990, 990EZ, or 990N?
  • Fiscal Year Start Date and End Date
  • Does your organization have an audited financial statement?
  • Do you have an endowment?
  • Are you currently in a Capital Campaign?
